He leveled prot from 10-51 alongside my boyfriend's Mage (and, at times, a RL friend's holy paladin. We liekd to threeman instances. xD) He was alliance because my boyfriend and my rl friend both wanted to play alliance. I had no 80s to speak of at the time, my RL friend had like two, so I was like "OKZ." Then my boyfriend quit the game at like level 55ish, but spent a year getting mad at me if I played my paladin "in case he wanted to play again." The weirdo. :P Finally, like three weeks ago, I noticed he no longer cared about me playing it (coincidentally, this is also when I got the news that paid race changes and tauren paladin will exist in cataclysm), so I started leveling her again. But, I missed my home realm, so I server transferred her one week and then switched her name/gender the next. xD Nothing as noble as sticking to traditions, unfortunately. ;~; Uhhhh, I wish! xP

I'm only 30 and haven't noticed it anywhere, but I'm glad I know what it is and what it does, now. The thing about ret paladins for me (or paladins in general) is that there are so many abilities - seals, judgements, auras .. and the fact that my main is a priest and some of the paladin abilities look like priest abilities in terms of icon art ... well, it's confusing. :-P But nothing tops Maelstrom Weapon, I'll 100% agree with you.
